Savage Bay is an open sea in southern Irukandji on the InWorldz virtual world.

The westernmost region in Aboyo State, Savage Bay was online between 2013 and 2014 until I moved over to my own grid later that year.

Predominantly a deep open ocean, a long sand bar ran along the southern shore for vehicles to drive on.

Regions adjoining Savage Bay were Pinjarra Island, Palu Island, Pinjarra Shoals, Tiamo Reef, and Manatu Island.

Below you will find photographs of Savage Bay that I took during my travels around the islands. If you would like to explore more of the Irukandji continent, check out the main Islands of Irukandji page.

Irukandji Ministry of Heritage and Culture

Savage Bay is the site of an infamous and unsolved murder in 1877. The then-Governor of Irukandji, Sir Ernest Recreant was ambushed and killed by natives loyal to the Aboyan elder, Uba Uba. The guilty parties were never found and no charges laid. The full story can be read here: The Matriarch of Manatu.
