Old Fort Island ~ a virtual world sim in InWorldz by Xay Tomsen
The simulator, Old Fort Island is a scenic region in northwest Irukandji, on the InWorldz virtual world.
In hindsight, I wish I hadn't used this name for the region, as Old Fort Island in Second Life has tribal history to it, which doesn't apply in the InWorldz version. It was also in an entirely different part of Irukandji, so there really is no logic to its naming.
Thankfully, the lifespan of Old Fort Island was short and few remember its existed.
Old Fort Island was essentially just a 'filler' sea to replace the earlier region, Grand Irukandji that shared the same grid square. I then attached another sea to the east, Emperor Bay, so that I could attach a new commercial sim, Reef City to its north.
The whole northeastern experiment lasted about two months, right at the end of my stint on the InWorldz grid.
It was around this time that I began having lots of problems with scripts there, plus a few unethical land developers among the mentors team, so I let Old Fort Island go and moved on.
